Why this role is genuinely exciting
This isn’t a typical maintenance job. You’ll inherit a mature, extensive Delphi codebase that has been battle-tested across dozens of enterprise deployments. Your mission is to tune it, streamline it, and make it even more reliable for the next decade of financial security innovation.
Your core mission
Assume full ownership of our flagship Delphi codebase and drive continuous improvement so our products stay rock-solid, maintainable, and lightning-fast.
What you’ll achieve (and love doing)
- Master and simplify a sophisticated Delphi IDE installation process that spans multiple package sources and intricate dependencies — turning complexity into clarity.
- Take complete ownership of every third-party component: create licenses and distribution packages using InstallShield, retire outdated packages now covered by native Delphi or Windows APIs, and dramatically reduce external risk and maintenance overhead.
- Ruthlessly minimize custom modifications to standard Delphi packages, keeping our foundation clean, future-proof, and easier for the whole team to work with.
- Provide expert ongoing support and evolution for multiple end-user products and shared libraries — including encrypted server communications that keep sensitive financial data locked down at the highest levels.
You’ll work on code that matters. Every optimization you make, every dependency you eliminate, and every improvement you ship directly strengthens the security posture of financial organizations worldwide.
What success looks like
Within your first few months you’ll have mapped the entire dependency landscape, removed unnecessary third-party bloat, and delivered a noticeably cleaner, more maintainable codebase that the entire engineering team will thank you for.
